Care Ministries
Pastor of the Day
The Pastor of the Day handles calls coming into the church that need a pastor or elder to respond off the church premises (hospitals, homebound visitation, etc.).
Pastor on the Premises
The Pastor on the Premises serves those calling the church for assistance with a variety of needs. A pastor is assigned for each weekday from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Elizabeth Ministry
The Elizabeth Ministry supports the needs of women in their childbearing years who have experienced loss due to the death of a child, a miscarriage, or infertility.
Funeral Ministry
The Funeral Ministry is a group of volunteers who serve during a funeral service (i.e., musician, pianist, organist, or vocalist) or help with the family meal following the service (i.e., provide food, room setup, serve, and cleanup).
GriefShare
This group meets February–May and September–December each year to care for people during the grieving process of a loved one. This is a 13-week group that usually meets on Wednesday evenings. A DVD grief topic is shown each week, featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. A companion workbook has been specially created to help individuals moving through the grieving process and give encouragement.
Caring Card Ministry
The Caring Card Ministry is based on 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 and provides a symbol of love and care to members and attenders who have lost a loved one. Volunteers send a care card with a note of encouragement to the family following the death of a loved one.

Nursing Home Worship Teams
This ministry provides monthly Sunday worship services at many nursing care facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for families and/or individuals to help present the Gospel to those in the care facilities. We are in need of speakers to give the Gospel message, musician/vocalist, helper, and substitutes for each area.
Prayer Ministry
All believers at Grace Polaris are encouraged to pray with and for one another throughout their daily lives. Many meet together in Grace Groups, in special meetings, in Bible Studies, or over a cup of coffee to lift up requests and give praise and thanks to our great and awesome God. The Prayer Chain is available 24 hours a day. Prayer requests are retrieved daily and passed along to prayer warriors.
Homebound Visitation Care
This ministry consists of volunteers who make visits to pray with and encourage the immobile in their residence or care facility.
