The Sovereign Purpose & Power of God
Scripture Passage: Romans 9:14-29
From Series: "Called to the Gospel"
Long before he called Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, God was working to bless all the peoples of the earth. His divine offer was good news for His first chosen people — the Israelites — but it wasn’t exclusive to them. When Jesus opened the door to a restored relationship with God, He fulfilled God’ promise to Abraham made long ago: a Kingdom invitation to Jew and Gentile alike. God’s work throughout history has culminated in a spiritual nation, a people fit together from every time, place, and background, and stretching farther than the eye can see. That grand plan includes us, right alongside the people He chose to bless all the nations of the earth. This invitation to join God’s family through Christ is Good News for everyone who is called to the Gospel.

Power, Providence, and Proclamation
Scripture Passage: Acts 5:17-42
From Series: "Onward: The Church on Mission"
In the book of Acts, we see believers live out the Great Commission of making disciples of all nations. As the early church was established, they did not keep the Gospel to themselves. They charged onward into the culture taking the hope of Christ to all people. They recognized their role as witnesses in the neighborhoods and the nations. Despite persecution, Christians testified to the truth of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. This is the same call we have today. Through Acts, we'll grow in our confidence in the Gospel as we see the power of the Holy Spirit, the boldness of the disciples, and the priority of local churches.
