From Series: "Steadfast: Rejoicing in the Enduring Love of God"
The book of Psalms has been used in worship for generations. Each Psalm gives us a model for how we pray, sing, and approach God. We read psalms that describe the majesty of God and some that lament of our circumstances. The Psalms give us words when an adequate vocabulary escapes us. The Psalms inform how we think and feel about God. Through difficult or joyful circumstances, our eyes are fixed on a steadfast God whose love endures forever!
God’s Word is living and active. It’s sharper than any two-edged sword. It is useful for teaching, reproof, correcting, and training in righteousness. It is a lamp for our feet and a light for our path. We can cling to it in times of trouble. We can seek wisdom from it in times of confusion. We can hold fast to it in times of doubt. We can delight in it in times of joy. No matter our circumstances, we can always turn to God’s Word. It will never fail. It will stand forever. It will endure.
