Gospel Drift

The Gospel is so good, don’t drift.

Scripture Passage: Galatians 1:1-10

From Series: "Freedom in the Gospel"

The book of Galatians was written to a church who was trying to reconcile the Gospel of grace through Jesus Christ with the Jewish law. They were at risk of completely denying the Gospel by adding to the Gospel. Paul reminded the Galatians that they are justified by faith. He called the Galatians to live by faith and walk in step with the Holy Spirit. He urged them to root their identity in Christ and embrace being a child of God. He implored them to live as those who are no longer slaves under the law but free in Christ. Salvation is not earned through works. Salvation is not merited through rituals. Salvation is not bought through obedience. Salvation is not inherited through ancestral roots. Salvation can only come by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. There is no other Gospel, and in this, there is freedom in the Gospel.
