The Gospel in our Context

Out of the Harbor: Sharing the Gospel in a Skeptical World

Guest panelists discuss takeaways from our “Out of the Harbor” sermon series in Acts 17.

Scripture Passage: Acts 17:16-34

From Series: "Out of the Harbor: Sharing the Gospel in a Skeptical World"

We can have a lot of questions about our faith. We wonder if it actually makes sense. We wonder if others will understand it. We wonder if we really understand it ourselves. When Paul came ashore in Athens, a bustling harbor city, he came face-to-face with these same challenges. But in the midst of it all, battered and beset by the highest intellectuals of the time, he stood firm on a simple solution: he let the Gospel speak for itself. He shared the truth plainly and simply, and what happened? The Gospel held fast and resisted the waves of opposition, because the Gospel is the answer to all the world’s questions, as sensible then as it is steadfast today.
