Every Saturday morning when our daughter wakes up we get the same questions: “What are we doing today? Do we have something fun to do? Where are we going this morning?” Much of the time we end up looking at each other and saying, “I don’t know. What’s going on in Columbus today?”

We have this fun, Saturday morning routine of scrambling and trying to decide what adventure we can go on that day, but often end up doing the same things each week—farmers markets, play places, and spending time in the yard.

This Saturday will be different though! This Saturday, I know exactly what we will be doing. We will be headed to the Grace’s International Fun Festival!

Here are three reasons you should consider joining us:

  1. You love eating good food! The International Fun Festival will have five awesome food trucks serving up their specialties from around the world for a reasonable price. Come try authentic Mexican, Indian, Japanese, Filipino and Thai, or German street food as you walk around and have a great time with your family and friends.
  2. You enjoy free, family-friendly entertainment! We will have a center stage with various acts going throughout the day. Dancers, musicians, and even a magician will fill our afternoon with fun things to watch and listen to…all while we eat our yummy food, of course!
  3. Your kids love jumping in bounce houses! As a father of three, I know that there are few greater joys in life for our children than bounce houses. There’s something about the uneven rubber floors while moving up and down as the other kids jump that fills their hearts with joy. They fall, they laugh, and they love it! We don’t miss opportunities for free bounce houses!

So, after reading through my list, I think you’ll fit in somewhere. Either you like eating, you like watching good entertainment, or you have kids that like jumping in bounce houses (or you’re like me and enjoy it all). Regardless of what brings you out, I look forward to seeing you at the International Fun Festival this Saturday! And don’t keep it to yourself! Use this opportunity to invite a friend, coworker, or neighbor. It’s quite likely they also enjoy eating, entertainment, and seeing their kids light up with joy as they bounce up and down.
