At Grace Polaris Church we’re excited to see ministries flourish that share a common vision: multiplying devoted followers of Jesus.
The Château de Saint Albain in Burgundy, France, has long been a place of new life that has resulted in new leaders and churches for the Grace Brethren movement. Many lives have been changed as they’ve heard the Word, responded with faith in Jesus, then were encouraged to follow Him.
Our church has been involved with the Château ministry since the late 1960s. We have supported global workers who have used the Château as a place to influence young people and adults alike who then returned to their communities to begin new churches.
As with any ministry and facility, an investment of resources is necessary to continue its effectiveness. A renewal of vision also helps the ministry to adjust to the culture and needs of people who have not known of Jesus.
The Château is in a new phase of challenges as they update their facility to welcome new people and initiate new evangelistic and discipleship ministries for youth and adults. We have recently sent John and Shari Jones to help in the Château to disciple new leaders alongside the French coordinators Nicolas and Nancy Alphonso. Also, we are sending a short-term team consisting of Mark and Jann Day, Jeff and Kristi Shaw, Dan Custer, and Eric Smith to assist the renovation project and to encourage those involved in the Château ministry.
You can be involved in the Château ministry by praying for God to use this team to encourage evangelism and discipleship as they renew the facility. Pray also that our team will experience true partnership as they get to know the French team and learn how they pursue people for Jesus in central France.
Our Grace team will depart on September 16 and return on September 30. Pray for the team to accomplish their work goals with great energy, safety, joy, and mutual edification. Pray that they will be ready to always share their testimony with those around them (1 Peter 3:15).
